BBQ Pulled Elk Roast

This recipe touched a special place in my soul, the taste was PHENOMENAL. I LOVE elk. The taste is very similar to beef, and you can do all of the same things with it that you can do with beef. My ultimate favorite is to take an elk roast and throw it in the crockpot to cook all day. Then it doesn’t take any time away from my family while dinner is simmering away! Ok, now for the recipe!

1lb elk roast (beef, pork, or chicken is a good substitute)

1tsp garlic powder
1-18 oz bottle of your favorite bbq sauce
salt and pepper to taste


Throw it all in the crockpot on low for 8 hours. At the 8 hour mark, shred your meat and cook for one additional hour. Put the meat on your favorite roll, bun, etc. and enjoy!
